Meet your Speech-Language Pathologist,
Amy Fiscus, MA, CCC-SLP
I graduated with a Master of Arts from the University of Colorado-Boulder. During my 23 years of pediatric experience, I have supported children and families in preschools, elementary schools, telehealth, and private practice. This varied experience gives me a unique perspective when providing therapy.
Like the playful nature of the Snapdragon, which can grow even in harsh conditions, therapy should be a balance of fun and focus. I believe that therapy built on strengths and interests of the child supports trust and growth. Partnerships between families, other medical professionals, and educators are essential in the process of supporting communication development.
I have experience and professional training in the areas of: speech sound disorders, phonological disorders, orofacial myofunctional disorders, thumb sucking, social communication, and developmental delays in language and in early literacy.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, 2 kids, and our dog Sammy. We are Colorado natives and we like the small town feel that Parker still provides. I enjoy hiking, stand-up paddle boarding, watching movies, and cheering on the Broncos and the Buffs!
